Since 2007, Live at the Royal (LATR) has actively
encouraged and supported live music of all kinds.
During the past year the venue has successfully
presented shows by such well established performers as:
LATR is fast becoming Lanarkshire’s Hottest New Live Music Venue …It’s time for us to make a real contribution towards the development of Scotland’s Hottest New Young Talent.
The Battle Royal contest, designed to bring forth new up and coming bands into the public eye, ran for seven weeks, from Tuesday 23rd Sept – with the final on 31st Oct 2008.
Performing in the right atmosphere is very important to any young musician and creating it is just as important to us at LATR. That's why the four preliminary heats and the two semi-finals of this contest were FREE ADMISSION to the public. Only the Grand Final night had a nomina entry fee.
We were also delighted to announce that our main sponsor
for this contest was Bulleit Bourbon.
